The July 2nd Aspires meeting featured speakers Dean Svoboda and Lyndon Parakin. Dean is from Autism Aspergers Friendship Society and outlined some of the virtual activities that AAFS is providing to keep ASD people connected during the pandemic. Lyndon Parakin, the executive director of Autism Calgary Association also discussed challenges, responses and programs for ACA members during the pandemic.
Lyndon and Dean also touched on the possible support models that could be offered at Homespace’s 5th Avenue and 9th Street location in downtown Calgary.
There were as many as 40 individuals who joined the Zoom feed which was chaired by Bonnie Kaplan and Richard Conte.
